The years may pass but the memories and the pain still live on

It was three years ago today, January 5, 2006,  that American Hero Sgt. Adam L. Cann was killed in action in Iraq.
Though the years may pass, it is certain that he and so many others that have fallen, their memories and stories shall be told for generations to come!  Sgt. Cann made the ultimate sacrifice that day for our freedom.  He is a legend!

Picture is of he and MWD Bruno who is still at Camp Pendleton.

Military Working Dog Lex

Military Working Dog Lex who was with Cpl. Dustin Jerome Lee when he was KIA in Iraq, has since been adopted to the Lee family.  This is the first time ever that a Military Working Dog was retired to a family; he was retired on 12-21-07.  MWD Lex received the Purple Heart on 2-16-08.

Please check out these wonderful shirts(like the one shown above), pet items, stickers, etc.  Part of the money spent on these items will go to the National War Dog Association.  Such an incredible cause!

Maggie K9 Police Dog retires

I came across this beautiful girl on Myspace, and I just had to pay tribute to her!  Maggie is now retired from the Oak Ridge Police Department in Tennessee.  She was injured by a crack dealer when he rammed his car into Maggie and her handler.  She is seven years old and she's a dual purpose Police K9 with over 80 grand in dope and money seizures, and six street bites!

You can find me on Myspace at:  http://www.myspace.com/sempercanum

Enjoy your retirement Maggie, you sure DESERVE it!
